ORDER OF BAHRAIN

Instituted in 1977 the Order of Bahrain is second only to the Order of Al Khalifa in seniority and is awarded to both Civilian and Military Personnel in recognition of services rendered to Bahrain.

Classes ‑ First Class Second Class Third Class Fourth Class Fifth Class

Badge ‑ An eight pointed gold star with rays patterned as palm leaves, overlaid by a smaller red enamel eight pointed star in which lies a white enamel disc bearing the inscription, "GOD, NATION, EMIR, BAHRAIN", in Arabic. This is suspended from a crescent with a pearl between the tips.

Star ‑ Similar to the badge but larger and each outer gold ray is overlaid by a crescent with a pearl between the tips.

Ribbon ‑ Red with a central white stripe with is bisected by a narrow black stripe.

How to wear ‑ The Badge is attached to the bow of the Sash which is worn over the right shoulder. The Star is pinned onto the left breast.

VIP recipients ‑ HRH Prince Khalid bin Sultan Abdul Aziz, awarded the 1st Class.
