OMAN

MILITARY ORDER OF OMAN

This was the first Order to be produced after the accession of Sultan Qaboos in October 1970. It carries the right to the post‑Nominal letters WO for all classes. There are two divisions Military and Civil.

Classes ‑ The Order comes in six Classes.

Badge ‑ A five pointed, 18 carat, white gold badge with white enamel, each point is tipped with a white gold ball. The central disc is dark green enamel surrounded by a band of red. The Arms of Oman appear on the centre disc in white gold.

Star ‑ Six pointed, 18 carat, white gold star with red enamel, each point is tipped with a white gold ball. White gold carved Omani Arms lie between each point with a raised gold monogram in the centre.

Ribbon ‑ Blue with two red stripes towards each edge.

How to wear ‑ The Badge is attached to the bow of the Sash which is worn over the right shoulder. The Star is pinned onto the left breast.

VIP recipients ‑ HRH Prince Khalid bin Sultan Abdul Aziz, awarded the 2^nd Class.
