ORDER OF THE FLAG

Founded in 1953 as an award for exceptional Civil Merit. The award may also be presented to foreigners.

Classes ‑ The award comes in five classes but is unusual in format as there is no badge, only a breast star.

Star ‑ An eight pointed gold star with eight smaller points appearing between the rays. This is overlaid with a large enamel Flag incorporating the National colours of red, white and green. A silver open topped wreath surrounds the flag.

Ribbon ‑ None.

How to wear ‑ Pinned onto the left breast.

VIP recipients ‑ HRH Prince Khalid bin Sultan Abdul Aziz, awarded the 2^nd Class.
