NIGER

ORDER OF THE REPUBLIC

This is Niger's premier Order and was established upon Independence on December 14^th 1959.

The Order is conferred for outstanding Meritorious Service.

Classes ‑ Grand Cordon

                Chevalier

Badge ‑ Ten pointed gold rimmed and green enamel star, with a gold hree‑pointed dagger appearing between each ray. Whilst in the centre appears the  mage of the Cross of Agadez surrounded by a green border with the  inscription, "REPUBLIQUE DU NIGER". The whole badge is suspended from a green and gold wreath.

Star ‑ Similar to the badge but overlaid onto a silver multi‑rayed star.

Ribbon ‑ Sandy with a central green stripe.

How to wear ‑ The Badge is pinned onto the upper left breast with the Star underneath.

VIP recipients ‑ HRH Prince Khalid bin Sultan Abdul Aziz, awarded the Grand Officer.
